This afternoon, the Indians will travel to Northern Valley/Old Tappan for their first road game of the season. The two rivals from the Big North Patriot Division are very evenly matched, as they split their two meetings last year. After dropping the first meeting 54-51 at home, Valley eked out a 51-50 victory in Old Tappan later in the season.
Earlier this season, both sides faced off in football and soccer, and while football went the way of the Golden Knights, PV came out on top 1-0 in soccer. In what's a historically contentious and hard fought battle, both sides will look to gain the edge in the season series between the two schools. The Indians (0-1) dropped their first game of the year to Teaneck, while the Golden Knights (1-0) beat Bergenfield. There is little love lust between the students from PV and NV/OT, so this is bound to be an exciting and intense matchup. Despite the loss, the Indians were led by Alex Lin (18 points, 9 rebounds), Matt Vasel (14 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist), and Matt Domville (13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists), all of whom are poised for big years. Check back later for the results of this game. -Josh DeLuca
